What exactly do I do???
Well, that depends on the project. While I am most often hired to create and complete a space, I work hourly so that you can choose how much assistance you need. My base rate is $50/hour. If you simply need an hour or two to pick my brain or want my help making some decisions, we can schedule that as well. You pick what I can do for you!
I enjoy creating one-of-a-kind pieces, repurposing vintage items, and searching for lost “treasures.” In order to do this type of thing and keep it affordable, I offer a “second” rate of $40/hour for shopping & “creating” time.
I am proud of the fact that I work with great clients and their budgets. I wholeheartedly believe that great, functional design does not have to be LIMITED to those with UNLIMITED budgets. Of course, that’s fun too…
I’ve never wanted to be limited to shopping where I get the best commissions and kickbacks. Many designers are trapped in this way, and I believe, have to compromise their design based on what makes them the most money. Instead, I prefer to pass my designer privileges and discounts on to you as much as possible. When a selection from someplace that I get a discount is the best choice, you will benefit by paying the best price available to the trade. If said store does not offer the best item, we’ll keep looking…TJ Maxx is “never the same place twice.” I do get discounts on flooring, lighting, furniture, framing, artwork, accessories, etc. This savings is often greater my bill!!
